The debut of Dr. Schär on the Argentine market is scheduled for next summer, but in South America the company has been present since 2017, after the acquisition of the Beladri brand in Brazil, where it produces Multigrain Sliced Bread (Pao de Forma Multigraos). In Europe, instead, the company aims to strengthen its presence in Turkey where, explains the president and founder, Ulrich Ladurner, "Dr Schär is the first company for market shares, but the prices are too high. The goal is to favor the production on site, to facilitate a pricing policy that attracts new buyers, as was the case in South America and Russia".
At the end of May the company will close a balance sheet with results that since 2000 have been steadily rising. A few months later, in November, Ladurner will hand over the company to his son-in-law Nikos Charalampopoulos, who currently holds the position of executive director of central marketing & medical nutrition at Dr. Schär. The founder excludes in the most absolute way of wanting to list the company on the stock exchange, before leaving it: "In my business I risked and it always went well for me. Freedom for a company is important".
