More and more export

Chiara Lungarotti, managing director of all the productive activities of her company, explains: «Our goal consists in spreading our image, the one of Umbria and Italy, through the production of quality wines, culture, and specialized tourism. Our products are abroad in the Ho.Re.Ca channel and specialized sales channels, too, and two of them also on flights of the Russian airline Aeroflot. In addition, we have established partnerships with the larger catering groups around the world, as well as a policy of presence in the world capitals of luxury and in the wine lists of the major ‘places of taste’: from Armani and Bulgari Resturant in Tokyo to the Grand Hotel in Moscow, at the Sheraton and Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok. Nowadays, the presence in international markets must be continuous and constant, so we aim to find partners with whom we want to share projects over the long term, in order to strengthen our brand and allow the ‘Rubesco Riserva’ wine growing even more, making it more recognizable as a standard-bearer of Made in Italy wine».panoramica cantina

It is ideal in recipes of the Mediterranean cuisine: it is delicious raw on bread, excellent for vegetable soups, stews, salads, and pulses. It is also used in cooking and frying, because it is the more stable and digestible among the seeds oils. It is exported to about 50% of the total production mainly in Germany, USA, Denmark, Sweden, and Belgium. Chiara Lungarotti explains: «In the 1990s, my sister Teresa Severini designed for this oil a bottle characterized by a circular cross section, which since then has been adopted by many other manufacturers, replacing the traditional square bottle. The label is fictional, but we chose ‘Cantico’ as its name because, as we are near Assisi and St. Francis, this brand immediately reminds our land, sung by the Holy Friar, and the harmony which characterizes its hills and its flavours».
