Created for the HORECA sector only, this excellent collection introduces the newest additions: Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG Frizzante “Spago” and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG.
The Sparkling Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG “Spago” is the emblem of the Mionetto’s tradition and experience. Produced from the grapes of the local DOCG areas, it has all the peculiar characteristics of its vineyard: soft straw yellow with greenish tinges, delicately-sparkling and intense bouquet combining fruity notes with floral scents, such as apple, pear and acacia blossoms. The old local tradition of tying on the cork with a string was once used by winemakers to prevent the corks being forced out of bottles of this sparkling wine during the natural fermentation process. Mionetto introduced it again to the market in 1961, and this “Luxury Collection” traditional tying technique perfectly matches the modern and elegant design, as well as the innovative and refined materials, that are the main characteristic of the historic winery’s top collection.
The Cartizze Superior Valdobbiadene DOCG is produced from grapes grown in the heart of the DOCG zone, a hilly area of 106 hectares, with a special position, soil and microclimate which contribute to offer every year a unique sparkling wine: straw yellow with bright tinges that range from pastel shades to golden hues, and with exceptional scents reminiscent of apple and pear, with hints of rose flowers. It is harmonic and elegant to the palate. With its fine perlage, it pairs perfectly with elegant fish recipes and it is an excellent match for fine desserts, cakes and pastries.
These two new products expand the collection of Mionetto and go hand in hand with the four original offers, namely Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Prosecco DOC Treviso, Cuvée Sergio 1887 and Cuvée Sergio 1887 Rosé.
