The Salov Group, one of the largest oil groups in Italy with a turnover of around 300 million euros, will open a Filippo Berio branch in China in Shanghai in early 2020, another important step in the direction of consolidating international development and the company's growth in a still virgin markets such as the East.
The branch will enjoy direct contact with the parent company in a combination that combines Italian expertise with the capillarity and specific knowledge of the Chinese territory that only an on-site outpost can guarantee. Today Filippo Berio products are distributed by Bright Food's logistics and distribution chain, which has over 120,000 distribution points in China. From 2020, the entire distribution chain will instead be managed directly by Filippo Berio Shanghai using the Italian know-how.
China is becoming an increasingly strategic market by virtue of its territorial and population size and the strong economic and social changes that have affected it in recent years. Its decisive openness to Western consumer models, the growth of wealth and the birth of a new and demanding middle class, make China a large market with enormous development potential for foreign products.
