I Sapori del Cancello (The flavors of the gate) is a company dedicated to the production of typical Calabrian products manufactured exclusively by hand, from the selection and cultivation of the garden vegetables, up to the labelling of the tins. Each vegetable is cut individually by knife and each roll is individually wrapped.
Range of product
The company has a wide range of products such as pâtés, products in oil and jams. From Eggplant slices preserved in olive oil, enriched by Calabrian chilies and Mint, perfect for mini-bruschetta, to Sun-dried tomatoes, to Zucchini rolls, where the strong flavour of anchovies and capers meets with the sweetness of the zucchini, and finally to crushed olives. Perfect to accompany soft cheeses, but also grilled meat is a sweet onion cream, produced from slices of the sweetest Tropea onions. Finally, a classic of traditional Calabrian food, skillfully reworked, to be enjoyed as a side dish, stuffed peppers with tuna, olives, capers, and oregano. We also have pickled cauliflower in oil which retains the fragrance and the particular taste. There is also the particularness of the yellow pumpkin in olive oil, which is naturally sliced to maintain its crunch before any dressing and is perfect to be enjoyed as an appetizer or to accompany meat.
There are four types of pâté. Olive flavour, Sun-dried tomatoes, Artichoke and Courgette (zucchini).
