The opening of the US market to Italian apples and pears represents a great opportunity for Emilia Romagna and its fruits. The first 10 containers of Abate Fetel are travelling to the USA thanks to a cooperation agreement signed between the State of Delaware and Emilia Romagna that will open great opportunities for quality food of the Region with the European record of PDO and IGP.
The characteristics of Abate Fetel put it in competition with other American pears, expecially for its gastronomic appeal that makes it ideal with other top products of Made in Italy, such as Parmigiano Reggiano and balsamic vinegar.
