Italian wine schools in China to train wine lovers

Business Strategies opens wine schools in China. Fifteen cities, 100 classes, 2,400 students and one million followers to train wine lovers in China and at the same time to doscover their tastes and preferences from the Italian natives. These are the numbers of the new training project for Italian wine in China by Taste Italy! Wine Academy, the first Italian wine school entirely dedicated to Chinese winelovers founded by Business Strategies in Shanghai last year. The program aims to promote Italian wine through a fundamental training action so that made in Italy products can be understood and appreciated. Silvana Ballotta, CEO of Business Strategies, stated: "The Taste Italy! Wine Academy does not want to be a simple school. It is an experimental platform that is based on the philosophy of “teaching while learning”, through a two-way cultural exchange between trainers and Chinese consumers. Our students represent a precious sample of the complex Chinese market, whose tastes must be correctly analyzed and interpreted, as well as addressed. For this reason - explains Ballotta - we thought of a format that allows us both to train consumers who turn to us with different techniques depending on their level, both to investigate and collect their tastes, preferences and inclinations with a careful and systematic study of teaching feedback”.
After a phase of explaination of the contents students will be guided in the tasting of the samples and will have to fill in the evaluation questionnaires that will allow the collection and analysis of the data. Protagonists in experimental classes, aimed at beginners and expert wine lover (level 1 and 2) and professionals (level 3), will be mainly the native vines (54 already included in the program), expression of the typicality of our territories production that in the market Chinese still struggle to make themselves known. The first classes of the project were scheduled for February 2018 and held in Shanghai. The goal now is to expand the initiative to 15 cities, including Beijing, Chengdu, Dalian, Guangzhou and Tianjin.
