The convention of the affiliates of ‘Italia del Vino - Consorzio’ increased its base by receiving one of the brands icon of Calabrian oenology: Cantine Librandi by Cirò Marina (Kr). Antonio and Nicodemo Librandi, tenants since three generations, developed this tradition by opening a production that invested much in order to rediscover, safeguard, and enhance the Calabrian autochthonous species of vine. For instance, this happened as for the experimental vineyards of magliocco, arvino, mantonico bianco, and pecorello, protecting the viticultural germ plasm that risked the extinction by bringing it to attention and appreciation of the markets all over the world.
Italia del Vino is a private Consorzio that since 2009 gathers 13 among the most important realities of our wine growing and producing section, all widely present on world markets: Banfi S.r.l., Cantina Lunae S.a., Cantine Ferrari Fratelli Lunelli S.p.A., Casa Vinicola Sartori S.p.A., Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A., F.lli Gancia S.p.A., Gruppo Italiano Vini, Marchesi di Barolo, Medici Ermete & Figli S.r.l., Santa Margherita S.p.A., Società Agricola Drei Donà, Terredora S.a, Librandi Antonio e Nicodemo Spa.
