From January to April 2019 the exports of Asiago DOP in the United States reached a growth of 34.7% in volume and an increase in the average price of 2.2%. The European project "Uncommon Flavors of Europe" is also contributing to the result, which aims to reinforce the recognition by the consumer of the distinctive features of the original product.
Positive results were also achieved in the United Kingdom: exports grew by 17% in quantity and 15% in value while excellent prospects opened in Singapore, after the inclusion of Asiago DOP among the denominations of origin recognized in the agreement between the EU and the country.
A noteworthy success is that of Mexico. Here, the multi-year proactive action of the Consortium combined with full protection in the context of international agreements, has achieved a + 162% in quantity. Good results also in Brazil where the increase was 25% in quantity and 6.3% in volume.
