Apples and mint come together in South Tyrol

This is "Minz Apple" ("Minz" means "mint" in German), a fizzy and summery drink obtained by combining fresh mint and apples, with no added sugar, in bottles of 0.275 litres. Partners in this project are: Thomas Kohl of Obsthof Troidner who produces and bottles the juice in his company, Lorenz Borghi and Leander Regensburger Vinschger, whose products are known under the name of "viTEEa by Lorenz & Leander", who grow their herbs in fields that can be located up to 1300 metres above sea level in the Stelvio National Park. They will also deal with the “drying phase”.

A specialized laboratory in Padua gave its opinion and advice for the production of the mint extract.
The Pur Südtirol retail chain, that has shops in Merano, Brunico and Bolzano, has the best requirements for the launch on the market of new products also thanks to its contacts in supermarkets for gastronomy and retail trade.

Through the cooperation of the three partner companies, the value creation chain linked to the product remains fully in Alto Adige. For the first test on the local market, a batch of 10,000 bottles has been produced. The possibility of creating other new products isn’t excluded. The ingredients could be chamomile or lemon balm.
