Zonin 1821 opens a Wine House Hotel in Edinburgh

The Wine House Hotel 1821 opened on October in the heart of Edinburgh at Picardy Place and represents an innovative concept in hospitality created by Zonin1821 and Scottish restaurateur, Sep Marini. Set in a stunning, multi-storied Georgian townhouse, this boutique hotel includes a cosy and elegant wine bar, a cocktail lounge, a library, a function space and four individually designed hotel rooms, each inspired by Zonin1821’s Italian estates.

Since he spent the last decade establishing some Scotland’s most iconic Italian restaurants, Marini enshrined in this venue his love for Italian hospitality and cuisine, by creating an interesting blend of food, family values and gastronomic excellence. Zonin1821 adds its expertise, knowledge, and passion for Italian wines and hospitality that led to the birth of a dynamic destination for wine fans and lovers.

At the heart of the Wine House Hotel is Zonin1821’s newest conception, the Wine Library: a place of entertainment, knowledge and community designed by architect Claudio Silvestrin. Here, guests can experience the Cru wines of Zonin1821’s Estates. The Wine library will soon be replicated in Brazil, along the most prestigious avenue of San Paolo, and in other European countries starting from 2018.
