The United States want more truffle

The import of truffles in the United States in 2017 reached a turnover of about 21 million dollars, of which the 57% is related to the Italian import only.
A trend that seems to be confirmed also in this year. According to the most recent estimates, from January to April the import market from our country grew by + 25.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
These are the numbers delivered by Urbani Tartufi, world leader with a market share of 67%, during the Fancy Food Show in New York, the most important American fair dedicated to Italian food specialties.
With more than 700 references between fresh truffles, truffle products and dried and frozen mushrooms, Urbani Tartufi is the main protagonist of this phenomenon that sees more and more people in the world approaching the scent and flavor of truffles.

In this sense, the United States is such a strategic hotspot for Urbani Tartufi that the company created a real Italian outpost in the U.S. with 6 in the country: New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and, more recently, Miami.
