Mac Fruit Attraction for Africa

Strategic agreement Italy-Spain: Cesena Fiera and the Fair of Madrid give birth to ‘Mac Fruit Attraction’, new global brand that brings together the two main producing and exporting Countries in the fruit and vegetable sector, with the aim of developing professional events in strategic markets. The first edition of the Fair of Mac Fruit Attraction will take place in Cairo from May 4th to 7th 2016, as part of ‘Food Africa’, following an agreement reached with IFP Group, the largest exhibition operator in the Middle East. Therefore, this event will concern both the Middle East and North Africa.

Of course it is an international trade fair in addition to the two already existing ones, in order to oversee a basin in northern Africa and the Middle East which continues to grow. On the other hand, the two events in Italy and Spain will continue to be organized independently, according to the development strategies of the two trade fair organizers.

The organizers of the most important events in this domain, Fruit Attraction in Spain and Macfrut in Italy, created a new platform that will facilitate the placement as well as professional and international network of fruit and vegetable companies, with direct access to new strategic markets. This will allow them to contact local operators and to achieve areas of influence. This way, Mac Fruit Attraction will become a worldwide brand, with a high power of international attraction which will be able to meet the particular needs of each individual market.

Raúl Calleja, director of Fruit Attraction, underlined that Mac Fruit Attraction aims at growing and establishing itself in the global market of fresh product, in alliance with strategic partners in key local markets of its sector. This is new, young, dynamic and flexible network, able to adapt to the specific needs of each market’.

Tamer Safwat, Director of IFP Egypt and organizer of Food Africa, highlighted the opportunities for the international fresh fruit and vegetable industry, as Egypt is a very active and dynamic area of ​​influence in the production as well as import and export of fruit and vegetables. ‘FOOD AFRICA is the perfect location to launch Mac Fruit Attraction in May 2016, especially given the success of last edition, with the participation of 8,340 trade visitors and 241 exhibitors from 18 Countries. We are planning to enhance the global offering of our Fair through the sector of fresh products’.
