Illycaffè lunches a new coffee machine for the Millennials target

illycaffèIt is called Y3 and it is the new coffee machine designed for illycaffè by architect Piero Lissoni and premiered at the last Salone del Mobile in Milan. A new challenge to bring a new target of  consumers to the unique illy blend.

Y3 is designed for the Millennials, to whom illycaffè and Lissoni dedicated a compact and easy-to-use machine. The lines of the new Y3 feature in little space push buttons, for espresso and American coffee, and all anti-waste technology that stops and turns off the machine after a few minutes of inactivity automatically. The new Y3 is available in three colors (white, red and black, from April the 19th ) and sold in Illy Caffè shops  in Milan and online at a price of 89 €.

The two companies renew 'Masters of Espresso Junior' for its 25th edition. The competition, realized and organized thanks to the experience and the educational support of Università del Caffè e Mumac Academy, involves the pupils of the fourth year of the Professional Hotels and Catering Institutes in Italy and in the San Marino Republic. A program that, through selections and thanks to the support of school teachers, gathers the best students of the year.

THE NEWS OF THE 25TH EDITION
- THE JURY: The new edition of 'Masters of the Espresso Junior' sees the introduction of two juries. One consists of 6 industry technicians, 3 from Illycaffé Università del Caffè and 3 from Mumac Academy for Cimbali Group, and the other for journalists.
- FINAL: The final of May 12th was divided into four phases that progressively brought students in the race from 16 to 2
- THE PRIZES: illycaffè and Gruppo Cimbali have also changed the prizes. For the second ranked there was a more complete course and for the winner a ten-day internship at the Università del Caffè or the Mumac Academy.
