Costadoro opened a branch in the United Kingdom. On April 5th the UK Ltd company, based in Rochester, 40 km far from London, was officially formed. “The idea came from the opportunity to get the one hundred percent of a small local roaster that operated for years in that area” says Giulio Trombetta, CEO of the Turin company.

"With this transaction, we created a good solid base to develop our business in the British territory. Otherwise it would have been long and hard to fit into a market very forefront regarding the quality of coffee, like London, and especially for the market of the "third wave", the world linked to new methods of extracting coffee such as brewing and others" says the manager.

The negotiations for the acquisition - carried out by two Costadoro executives, Giulio Trombetta and Stefano Abbo with Michele Manzin, head Costadoro for the UK - was complex and lasted more than six months.

This operation is in addition to those already completed a few years ago that led to the establishment of two more important still operational realities such as Costadoro SA Monaco, in the Principality of Monaco, and Costadoro Barcelona SL, in Spain.
