A sustainable winegrowing

image001Gancia Asti DOCG can boast the V.I.V.A. Sustainable wine label, an important international recognition given by the certification body DNV GL thanks to the conformity with the technical specifications of the project which rewards sustainability in the wine sector.
Gancia has been one of the first promoters of the sustainable winegrowing sponsored by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and this result confirms the commitment of Gancia towards the environment.
The impact of the production of Gancia Asti DOCG  has been measured according to the VIVA Sustainable wine’s indicators referred to product’s Carbon (Air indicator) and Water Footprint (Water Indicator) and the socio-economic impact on the territory (Territory indicator), with a 360° approach that makes the VIVA certificate a guarantee and transparency instrument to the consumer.
Gancia produces annually more than 20 million bottles of sparkling wine, wines and aperitifs, and through the international group Russian Standard to which it belongs, it promotes Made in Italy and the Italian tradition all over the world.
